Welcome to Barstool West Coast
I love Barstool Sports. I've been a stoolie since I was a freshman in college (that's 2009). I've seen it all - the Milton office, the 6/12/18/24 challenge, Barstool Blackout Parties, the fall of Neil and the rise of Big Cat, and of course the Chernin purchase and the ensuing rocket ship to the moon. But here's the thing: when Barstool started originally, it was location based which of course led to a diversity of people and opinions - specifically diversity of fandoms.
You obviously had the Boston centric nature to Barstool given Dave's origins, but with KFC being a Mets/Jets fan rather than a Yankees/Giants fan, it gave Barstool NY a different kick. Having Barstool Philly, Chicago, DMV, and even fucking Iowa (?), Barstool was a place where you could get wildly different hot takes on sports directly from the fans themselves.
However, since the move to NYC, the winds have changed. Due to its location, every schmuck within fifty miles has the ability to live at home while they can work freely at the Barstool offices doing whatever Dave just yelled at them to do. This has led to a slew of hiring of the same person - some young white dude from NYC doing the same shit over and over. Most of the time, they don't even do anything and for whatever reason, they aren't fired.
I am here to be Barstool West Coast. Let's go.

I'm 28 years old and actually have had jobs that aren't Barstool so I understand just how shitty it is not to work there as opposed to some of these ungrateful pre-pubescent assholes all trying to emulate Dave as much as possible. I am here to break that monotony and to spread Barstool's message beyond the Mississippi River - to give them a West Coast presence (RIP Barstool LA). Originally from Denver, so you'll get the hometown stuff, but ultimately this is about making sure that Barstool is always growing, always changing, and yes always spreading its roots far and wide.I hate the "back in my day" routine, but for real — I think of what me and Kevin and Dan and John did to get here and how Dave is opening boxes with daggers when he could have retired 6 years ago. Every day for 11 years I have thought how fucking lucky I am I got this chance. pic.twitter.com/Olq1B4lLDH— Kmarko (@Kmarkobarstool) April 10, 2020
